How To Be Photogenic

Every girl wishes that she could look picture perfect in every single photograph. Unfortunately, if you are not a professional model (and even if you are), this is a very difficult feat to achieve. The next time you find yourself in front of a camera, keep these simple tips in mind.

Make Your Face Look Thinner

Have you ever looked at a photograph and felt like you have a double chin, even though you really do not? The trick is in the angles, lovely! It might feel a bit strange at first, but make an effort to stick your chin out slightly to create the illusion of a thinner face and avoid your faux double chin. You can also push the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth to create the same effect.

Never Get Photographed From Below

Nobody and I mean absolutely nobody looks good when they are photographed from a camera that is below them. I cannot even begin to explain how unflattering this angle is_ugh! Never get caught in this position because I can guarantee that you will hate the outcome of these photographs. Instead, ask someone to shoot you from above. When you look up towards the lens, your body, neck and face will appear thinner. Magic!

Avoid Full Frontal

Have you ever wondered why many celebrities turn their body to pose on the red carpet? It is because this is one of the best angles for flattering photographs! To start with, slightly turn your body sideways and towards the lens, with one foot in front of the other. Point the toes of your front foot towards the camera and transfer your body weight to your back foot.

Watch Those Arms

Unless your arms are as thin as a runway model۪s, never pose with them squished against your body because these will make your body and your arms look fatter than they actually are. Instead, position your arm on your hip so that you form a ninety-degree (roughly) with your elbow.

Sit Like A Diva

If you are sitting instead of standing when the paparazzi roll around, never fear! Again, turn your body slightly to create a flattering angle and cross your legs at the ankles to create the illusion of slimmer thighs and legs. Tilt your head ever so slightly to make your features look sharp.
