The Secrets to Beautiful Feet !

Own up, ladies. Are you guilty of not giving your feet the TLC they need to look silky smooth? It is okay; most of us forget what our tootsies go through in daily life. Sadly, uncared for feet can look awfully shabby in flip-flops; definitely not a good look for any sexy bikini babe. We are here to help you ensure that your feet are prepped and fabulous, just like the rest of you, in time for the bikini season!

Before we get into nourishing your feet, pretty please check and re-check to make sure that all your footwear is the right size. Not give or take a few, but the exact size. Shoes which are too big or too small will inevitably rub against the soles of your feet, paving way for rough skin and calluses. Eeks!

Now that we have got that warning out of the way, let۪s move on to the fun stuff. Just like you have a skincare routine for your face, you need to formulate a routine to look after your feet as well.

Wash & Exfoliate

Wash them every day with warm water and mild soap or body wash, taking special care to exfoliate twice or thrice a week with a loofah or pumice stone. Exfoliation is the key to removing the nasty bits of dead skin and ensuring that the sole of your foot is always super smooth.

Dry & Moisturize

Make sure you dry your feet well after a shower, but be gentle! Pat (not aggressively rub!) the soles dry with a washcloth or towel, and then apply an intense repair moisturizer which will soak into your skin and hydrate it. If you have a few hours to kill at home or are turning in for the night, petroleum jelly is always the best bet, but a regular moisturizer works just fine. Whichever you choose to use, take care to massage the cream into your cuticles as well. The first step to having beautiful feet is having clean feet, so you cannot skimp on these steps!

Nails & Cuticles

As far as possible, try to keep your toenails short. Long toe nails look terrible, and can cause discomfort when you are wearing those cute closed toe pumps you bought last week. Ouch! Don۪t forget to push back your cuticles with a cuticle stick at least once a week as well. Your toes will thank us later.

Last Minute Tip

If you make an impromptu plan to head to the beach and your feet are feeling rough, don۪t worry. Prepare a foot soak for yourself and give yourself a pedicure at home! Talk about luxurious. Fill a tub with warm water and three or four tablespoons of vinegar. A mixture of honey and milk works equally well too. Dip your feet in for fifteen to twenty minutes, and then follow the same routine pat them dry and moisturize. It is a good idea to indulge in this ritual at least once in two weeks, whether you are headed to the sands or not. If anything, it is just another excuse to pamper yourself ;)

Have a lot of dead skin and don't have time for a weekly routine? Well, we have the fix for you right here! You will get your tootsies completely baby smooth in 10 minutes! Mix the following ingredients in a bowl

1/4 Listerine

1/2 Cup vinegar

1/2 Cup water

Soak your feet in the mixture for 10 minutes and when you take them out your dead skin will practically fall off!

Insider Tips & Tricks

Baring your tootsies and craving some extra oomph? We reckon that nail polish in light colors always trumps darker shades.
