As the designer behind the brand Naïla, Naïla Chbib is known for her unique and high fashion swimwear line for Women, Men and Boys. She launched the brand in 2008. In 2012, Naïla expanded and debuted a beachwear collection, offering her exclusive clientele cover-ups, dresses and the latest in beach attire.
Born in Switzerland and growing up just minutes from Saint Tropez, Naïla spent her summers frolicking on the French Riviera. Those summers, along with family in the textile business, resulted in Naïla’s passion and dream of creating her own line of swimwear. But first, Naïla studied Business at Webster University in Switzerland and Fashion at the distinctive Parsons School of Design in New York.
Naïla has worked for fashion houses, Donna Karan and Liz Claiborne learning and exploring all the facets of the fashion business. Naïla was also the Fashion Director of Social Life Magazine, a luxury magazine where she was in charge of all fashion, editorials and shopping pages for three years.
Naïla Swim Collection is a direct reflection of the designer’s French upbringing and love of the sea.
Naïla collection mixes deep caramel, brilliant turquoise and blues to reflect the color of the Mediterranean sea that inspired Naïla as young girl living along the French Riviera.
The 2014 Naïla Swim Collection includes silhouettes such as intricately cut monokinis, bright and slimming one-piece suits with crochet detail and hip hugging basic black bikinis. The entire Women’s Collection is made with Italian Xtra Life lycra, which offers full comfort, durability and resistance to chlorine.
Naïla Men’s Collection is also one of the only eco-friendly lines of swimwear in the market. Using recycled fabrics and innovative construction, the men’s line of shorts offers high technology and quick dry capability, along with extreme comfort.
This year marks Naïla’s third year of taking part in Mercedes Benz Fashion Swim Week on Miami Beach. Naïla had also been featured in the pages of Sports Illustrated, WWD, Teen Vogue, Shape Middle East, The Today Show and much more.
