4 Ways To Travel In Style

4-ways-travel-instyle

Designer bikini? Check. Beach essentials? Check. Tickets to an exotic sandy destination? Check. But girl, have you thought about how you are going to fit your entire closet into that tiny suitcase? There’s no denying it – preparing and packing for a holiday can be a really stressful experience, often taking away the pre-holiday excitement and replacing it with doom instead. We know the feeling.

If you go about prepping for your upcoming adventure the right way, there is no reason why you can’t be stress-free and stylish at the same time! Here’s how:

Save Those Samples

You know those tiny sample tubes that you snap up at department stores, from magazines and in hotel rooms? Creams, perfumes, soaps, shampoos sachets et al – save them all for your next holiday! Their miniature size is just right for travelling because they take up much less space than the full sized versions would and you don’t need to worry about carrying them back either! You’re welcome.

Scarf It Up

We at Swimwear World believe that a scarf is one of the most important travel essentials for any jet-setter. The beauty of this item is that it can be used in so many different ways – bunched up as a pillow for bumpy car rides, an impromptu sarong over your sexy bikini at the beach, a turban on bad hair days or even a quirky belt when your pants are a size too large. The best part is that it practically takes up no space, so it would be silly not to carry it!

Hydrate

As if jet lag wasn’t enough, the cooling system in aircrafts can really suck the life out of your skin, leaving it dull and dehydrated. Always carry a nourishing moisturizer on the plane and slather it on every few hours. Don’t forget to carry a lip balm for your smackers as well! Skip the on in-flight champagne and ask the air hostess for a bottle of H2O instead.

Pick a Palette

This is the best way to instantly deal with the “omg-what-should-I-take?!” problem. Pick a color palette for your vacation wardrobe and stick with it. Whether you choose to go with a scheme of blues, or the classic combination of red, white and black, only pack pieces which fit the bill and can be worn in more than one way. Out with the statement shoes which only go with one outfit and in with the pair which can be worn with everything.

For example, if we were to go with the blue and white palette for a three day beach break, we would pack light blue boyfriend jeans, a crisp white shirt, dark blue skinny jeans, a white V-neck t-shirt, denim boy shorts, a couple of multi-colored tank tops, an off-white mohair cardigan and some gold baubles. Do you catch our drift? This way, you can mix and match your pieces to suit your mood without worry.

Pro-tip: Roll your clothes instead of folding them. It takes up less space and they will come out with fewer creases as well!
